Principles of WRG Leadership
On the mind.
After a company's business model (profitability) is proven, how the leadership team interacts with each other is one of the most critical factors to its success.
I’ve been saying it for years now and that is: a lot of our success as a company stems from how our leadership team can come into a room, tackle tough conversations, call each other out, and sometimes even flat-out argue. But (this "but" is the most important part), we leave the room with no hard feelings and on the same page. Sometimes it takes more than one meeting to solve a problem, but in the end, we’re aligned.
Here at White Rabbit Group, I have six principles I expect from my leadership team:
Don’t take things personally – As soon as you feel like you’re being attacked, everything else goes out the window. When you don’t take things personally, it allows our team to solve tough problems, reduces long-term conflict, and encourages open communication.
Always be honest – Integrity all day, every day. Honesty is the foundation of authenticity and respect.
Keep your word – When you say something, follow through. Be dependable, in both successes and failures.
Respect each other’s time – Time is the most precious thing we have. As a leadership team, we should always uphold and respect that for everyone.
Stay consistent – It’s not always a race. Keep it steady with small, incremental steps in the right direction. Prove people wrong over the long run by staying consistent with what you stand for.
Match my dedication – This isn’t about working long hours or trying to be me. Just be as dedicated as I am to what we’re doing as a company. Be 100% in, every day!
